The Claims Process.

How does it all work?

As a reputable company, we have the relevant insurance in place in the unfortunate case when accidents may occur.  

Please note there is a set procedure that needs to be followed.

You need to report it promptly in writing within 7 days of the incident happening. 

Claims that involve injury need to be reported in writing within 24 hours of the incident happening.

Who Makes the Claim?

The legal owner of the property must make the claim as we cannot claim on our own policy.

How are things decided?

All correspondence will be made directly to our insurers who will liaise with you and explain the full process and decision regarding your claim.

We as owners of the business will have no other involvement once the insurance has been contacted.

How is a settlement made?

Once liability has been proven or accepted, the insurers will proceed with a settlement.

It is worth noting that policies are settled on an indemnity basis which means it is not “new for old” – the premise being that you are put back into the position you were in before the damage occurred.

This is either by repair/replacement or financial compensation – so if you have a five-year-old carpet that has been damaged, then you are only entitled to the value of a five-year-old carpet.
